The National Testing Agency (NTA) has come under scrutiny after a NEET-UG 2026 re-exam candidate from Nagpur was mistakenly allotted an examination centre in Abu Dhabi, just a day before the test scheduled for June 21. The agency later attributed the issue to a technical glitch and assured corrective action.
The student, identified as Abdullah Mohammad Talib, had applied from Nagpur and selected examination centres within Maharashtra. However, his admit card listed a school in Abu Dhabi as his test venue, leaving his family shocked as he does not possess a passport and could not travel abroad to appear for the examination.
Following complaints from the family and widespread attention on social media, NTA officials acknowledged the error and said it was caused by a technical issue in the allotment process. The agency assured that a revised admit card with a corrected examination centre would be issued before the examination.
