Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated new barracks for women security personnel in Rajasthan during his visit to border areas and praised the growing contribution of women in strengthening India’s border security framework.
Addressing security personnel, Shah said women personnel have made remarkable contributions in several areas of border management and security operations.
“Women have contributed more than men to border security in many aspects,” the Home Minister said while interacting with personnel during the programme.
The newly inaugurated barracks are aimed at improving residential and operational facilities for women deployed in border areas. Officials said the initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and welfare measures for security forces posted in difficult terrains.
