CISF, IIT Kanpur ink MoUs for cyber, drone security

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has entered into two institutional partnerships with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) to strengthen its capabilities in cyber security and drone/anti-drone technology for the protection of critical and strategic infrastructure.

The two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs), signed on 14 September 2026, provide for a six-week cyber security training programme through C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, and collaboration for establishing and developing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Drone and Anti-Drone Technology at CISF MPRTC, Behror, Rajasthan. The cyber security MoU was signed between CISF and C3iHub (IHUB NTIHAC Foundation, IIT Kanpur) by Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S, IPS, IG/CISF Airport Sector-I and Tanima Hajra, CEO, C3iHub, in the presence of Professor Surender Baswana, Programme Director, Ras Dwivedi, CTO, Anand Handa, CSO and Ajaya Kumar Misra, CFO.
