In Central Delhi, traffic jams have a ripple effect

When the main roads become clogged, traffic trickles into the service lanes

A surge in heavy public movement due to the ongoing Navratri festival was supplemented by the T 20 match between India and Bangladesh at Arun Jaitley cricket stadium on Wednesday. Adding to the vehicular traffic were sport fans who trekked on foot to reach the stadium on time, as well as early bird vendors who set up small stalls before the match began. When the main roads became clogged, traffic trickled into the service lanes.
