Gurdit Singh, 21, Creates History – Wins 4 Golds at London Power Challenge Uk Ipl Qualifier Championship

New Delhi, 22 Oct : It is a proud moment not only for Dronacharya Bhupender Dhawan and the team Dronacharya The Gym but also for our country India to note that Gurdit Singh, 21 year old, 1st year student of N.C.P.E pursuing B.P.Ed., has created a history by winning a total of 4 Gold Medals at London Power Challenge UK IPL Qualifier in Junior and in Open Category held on 19-20 October, 2024 in London. With a body weight of 120 kg., Gurdit played in 125 wt. category and lifted a total of 665 kg. and won the best powerlifter in both. Mr. Dayle Longford – President UKIPL had all praise for this young sports man.
Indeed, it is the result of ‘Khelo India’ programme, initiated by our worthy PM Mr. Narender Modi, to revive the sports culture in India which focuses on developing sports facilities for athletes to help them achieve their full potential.
The golden performance by Gurdit Singh is certainly going to inspire the youngsters to come forward and create a sense of self-confidence in them to build their future career in sports.
National and International Body Building and Powerlifting Coach Dronacharya Bhupender Dhawan applauded the performance of Gurdit Singh and blessed him to meet success in his future competitions. He also called upon the youth of India to adopt sports as their career as there is a huge scope in it.
