New Delhi, September 22, 2021: On August 2 of this year, a nine-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a crematorium in Delhi Cantonment’s Nangal village. Four people were arrested in the case after the minor’s parents accused them of rape and murder.
The accused had initially claimed that the girl was electrocuted after coming in contact with a cooler. Delhi Police’s chargesheet, however, contradicts such claims made by the four accused – Radhe Shyam, Kuldeep, Lakshmi Narayan and Salim Ahmad.
A chargesheet in this regard was filed against the four accused by Delhi Police Crime Branch on August 28. The chargesheet includes a forensic report, along with confessions from the four accused.
Officials also found that the cooler in question had no current at the time of the incident which further confirms that the girl could not have been electrocuted.
‘Prime accused was porn addict’
The Delhi Police also revealed that Radhe Shyam, the prime accused in the case, used to force the minor to give him massages. Citing his browsing history, investigators also revealed that he was addicted to watching pornography and even forced the victim to watch disturbing videos on multiple occasions.
Radhe Shyam, in a bid to destroy evidence, had hurled it in the victim’s funeral pyre.
Radhe Shyam and the other accused had forcibly cremated the child’s body, telling her family that police involvement could complicate the matter.
A case was later registered against the accused under sections 304, 342, 201 of the IPC and relevant sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
