The adaptation and technological advancements ITI has made—from manufacturing rotary and push-button dial phones to producing core telecom equipment, radio access networks, routers, and PCB boards—have been remarkable,” the minister told reporters after visiting the public sector unit, ITI Limited here.

He also held a meeting with the company’s officials, sources said.

Scindia said he looks forward to ITI playing an even more fundamental role in the telecom technology landscape as the sector undergoes rapid transformation.

When asked whether the ministry is supporting ITI in modernising its technology and manufacturing capabilities, Scindia said, “Yes. I believe the management of ITI must take on that responsibility.”
