Harmeet Singh Kalka and Jagdeep Singh Kahlon dedicated it for the convenience of the congregation; Construction was done with the support of Baba Bachan Singh Ji Kar Sewa Delhi Wale.
New Delhi, October 15.** Another important step has been taken towards improving the facilities of the Sangat at the historic Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in the capital Delhi. New bathrooms have been built near the Lakhishah Banjara Hall of the Gurdwara Sahib. This will provide great relief to the Sangat attending wedding ceremonies and other religious and social programs held here. This facility will prove to be very beneficial especially for the elderly, women and families.
This facility has been constructed with the support of Baba Bachan Singh Ji Kar Sewa Delhi Wala. Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon dedicated these bathrooms for the service of the Sangat in the presence of Baba Satnam Singh Ji and Baba Lakha Singh Ji, who are associated with Kar Sewa.
On this occasion, Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said that various programs including weddings are often organized in the Lakhishah Banjara Hall of Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib. A large number of people attend these events. Earlier, people had to face difficulties due to the lack of bathroom facilities near the hall. Since the bathroom was located near the main gate of the Gurdwara Sahib, the congregation, especially the elderly and women, used to face a lot of inconvenience.
Keeping this need of the congregation in mind, the Delhi Gurdwara Committee had requested Baba Bachan Singh Ji, the head of Kar Sewa Delhi Wale, to construct a bathroom near the hall. After this work is completed through Kar Sewa, now the people attending the events will be able to get more convenient arrangements than before.
Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said that improving the facilities, services and management of the Gurdwara Sahib are among the main priorities of the committee. They said that expansion of facilities and other necessary works are also being taken forward in the Gurdwara Sahib complex.
He said that with the cooperation of Kar Sewa Delhi and Kar Sewa Bhuri, many other works are also being done at Gurdwara Sahib, which are being completed soon.
These initiatives, which are being taken keeping in mind the needs of the Sangat at Gurdwara Sahib, further strengthen the spirit of service, cooperation and collective responsibility. The construction of new bathrooms will not only improve the arrangements for the events held at Lakhishah Banjara Hall, but will also provide a more comfortable environment for the Sangat.
