A 71-year-old woman lost her life and her 65-year-old husband sustained injuries after a speeding SUV collided with several vehicles before running over the couple near the Kailash Colony Metro Station in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I area, according to police reports on Monday.
The Greater Kailash-I police station received a Police Control Room (PCR) call regarding the crash on Sunday. Officers reached to the scene and the injured couple was shifted to Moolchand Hospital.
Police confirmed that the woman, identified as Shashi, was decleared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Her husband, Kulbhushan, was treated for his injuries and later declared medically fit by doctors to provide an official statement to the investigating officers.
