Dronacharya Bhupender Dhawan’s disciple, Surender Singh & Gurdit Singh won the laurel for India, in the German Powerlifting Championship held at Bitburg, Germany on dated 01st to 3rd May 2026.
In an epic moment, Surender Singh & Gurdit Singh students of Dronacharya Bhupender Dhawan created history by bagging 7 Gold medals for India in the German Powerlifting Championship held at Bitburg, Germany on dated 01st to 3rd May 2026.
Surender Singh claimed 1 Gold in the Masters Benchpress, 1 Gold in the Open Benchpress, 1 Gold in the Masters Deadlift, 1 Gold in the Open Deadlift. 

Gurdit claimed 1 Gold medal in the Full Power Lifting Junior Category Deadlift of 290 KG, Benchpress 160 KG, Squats 250 KG, with a total of 700 KG, 1 Gold medal in single Bench Press lifting 162.5 KG, and 1 Gold in single Deadlift 285 KG.
