Yamuna Nagar, 7th April-Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14, on the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti, to present significant gifts to the state’s people. On this day, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an 800-megawatt thermal unit in Yamunanagar and inaugurate a new airport in Hisar while also laying the foundation for a new terminal. This will be a moment of pride for Haryana. The thermal unit in Yamunanagar, to be constructed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) at a cost of ₹7,272 crore, will prove to be a milestone in the state’s development, according to the minister.

The Agriculture Minister shared that lakhs of people will participate in the mega rallies scheduled in Yamunanagar and Hisar. Attendees from 12 districts will join in Yamunanagar, while those from 15 districts will gather in Hisar. He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s visit will be historic for Haryana’s development. Responding to journalists’ questions, Shyam Singh Rana stated that the nation will only become developed when all its states progress. He appealed to everyone to contribute to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a “Developed India.” Under the BJP’s leadership, development projects are advancing rapidly, he noted. With Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s guidance, a network of national highways has been established, and road construction in Haryana is progressing swiftly. Plans to develop four-lane roads from Karnal to Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra to Saharanpur are being implemented.
Concrete Steps for Farmers’ Welfare
The minister highlighted the BJP government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare. In Haryana, mustard and wheat crops are being procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This time, the crop payments are being directly deposited into farmers’ accounts. Strict laws have been enacted to curb the use of fake seeds and fertilizers, which will boost farmers’ income. Comprehensive arrangements have been made at procurement centers in mandis to ensure farmers face no inconvenience, and every grain of their produce is purchased.

Rana stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana is reaching new heights of development with the guiding principles of “Haryana’s Pride, Prosperous Farmers” and “Triple Engine Government, Non-Stop Nayab Speed.” The central and state governments are jointly implementing public welfare schemes, benefiting every section of society.
