28 Jan 21On a day the West Bengal government moved a resolution seeking repeal of the contentious farm laws, BJP MLAs staged a walk out of the Assembly chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans. The Assembly session also witnessed dramatic scenes as BJP MLAs rushed to the Well of the House after state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee tabled the resolution The development comes days after Mamata took umbrage to a section of the crowd raising “Jai Shri Ram” slogans at a government event held at Victoria Memorial to mark Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 124th birth anniversary. The TMC supremo refused to give a speech at the event that was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
