India Recorded 22,065 New Coronavirus cases in The Last 24 hours

New Delhi:15 Dec 2020 The lowest one-day figure in over five months (since July 7), taking the total Covid caseload to over 99.06 lakh. The number of fresh infections is over 18% per cent lower than yesterday’s. 354 deaths in the last 24 hours have pushed the total death count to 1,43,709. Over 94.22 lakh people in the country have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic, pushing the overall recovery rate to over 95 per cent, which is “one of the highest in the world for countries with high caseload”, the ministry said. India, which reported its first case on January 30, is the second worst-hit country in the world by the pandemic after the United States.
